Attention all past and present Shorinji Kempo members, friends, and families. Vancouver is hosting the 7th North American Taikai this year, with special instructors from Japan and branches members from Canada and the USA.

From September 25-27, the entire event is 3 days, with 2 days of training and learning, with a tournament called a Taikai on the final day. It will be held at the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre at 6688 Southoaks Crescent in Burnaby and admission will be free for spectators.

The last time a similar event was held was back in 2012, and this is a rare opportunity. Please spread the word to past members or anyone who might be interested in seeing the event. We are also looking for volunteers to help out on the Taikai day so please reach out if interested.

We are fundraising to cover costs, and are also offering companies, friends, and families advertising space and VIP seating for the Taikai in exchange for donations. Donations not requiring advertisements are also welcome and appreciated. We are happy to include photos or custom messages for the pamphlet as well. Please reach out with any questions.
